Our commitment

Why Fondation Simafri gives websites to nonprofits

Simon Vasconcelos Lee, founder of Simafri
Simon Vasconcelos LeeFounder of Simafri and of Fondation Simafri

My name is Simon. I am a French-Portuguese digital entrepreneur and an artificial intelligence expert. As a Christian, helping my neighbour is a sacred calling for me. So I wanted my craft to serve outside paid work as well: to offer our services to nonprofits working for the common good, to help those who help others.

That is how Fondation Simafri was born. It takes care of the creation, hosting, security and updates of its beneficiaries' websites, 100% free of charge, with the same teams that serve our paying clients.

A free website for nonprofits, genuinely managed

Many nonprofits give up on having a real website: no budget, no one to look after it, the fear of ending up with a website that breaks down or grows old alone. Fondation Simafri exists to lift that obstacle. We give eligible nonprofits a free website, but above all a fully managed one: created, hosted, secured and maintained by our teams, while you devote yourself to your mission.

Free does not mean "you are on your own"

The usual "free" solutions leave you alone with the design, the updates, the security and the outages. Here it is the opposite: the Foundation takes care of the entire technical side, from the domain name to maintenance. Your nonprofit gets a professional online presence, at no cost and with no technical burden, with someone to talk to. We compared fifteen free website services for nonprofits: what each one takes on, and what is left to do.

Who can benefit from the program?

The program is aimed at legally registered nonprofits carrying a cause of general interest: inclusion, health, education, disability, social action, culture or environment. A single point of contact within the nonprofit follows the project with us, and the website is built on the nonprofit's own domain name.

A website built to be found: on Google and by AI

As for our customers, every nonprofit website is built following search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and receives structured markup that helps artificial intelligence systems present your nonprofit accurately. Your cause gains visibility, right where people are searching.

The website belongs to your nonprofit

What we build stays yours. The website is built on your nonprofit's domain name, which you keep: the Foundation hosts it, secures it and keeps it up to date, but you are never locked in to a provider.
